There are multiple opportunities to get involved from being a PE teacher that wants to be trained in Get On Board, a local champion that wants to help organize a crew or volunteer to help when we have a community outreach day.
Fun Fact: Get on Board was started on a whim in June of 2013 through a partnership with RSU 60 in North Berwick, Maine. The first group were 5th graders from the Mary Hurd School, only one of them knew how to skateboard and was fortunate enough to own his own skateboard. A total of 58 students learned to skateboard over the course of two days, launching us full-speed down the road for skateboarding in school.
