Get On Board

First Push Syndicates longest running program, designed to teach, inspire, and empower.

What is Get On Board?

Get On Board is our longest running program and is quite possibly the largest skateboard program in the US in terms of impact hours. The idea is simple, we focus on working with partners and the goal of training a champion (teacher, coach, etc.) to facilitate the Get On Board curriculum on their own, adding their own voice to meet the needs of their students. Once the champion is comfortable with leading the way, we will loan all the gear to make it happen. This allows us to continue training other partners, creating a bigger footprint and more impact. Creating access to resources is our force multiplier.

The Get on Board Program keeps students engaged in many different ways through experiencing building a skateboard to getting onto the board and everything in between!

Testimonials

The Get On Board program is an amazing experience for not only my students, but for me as a teacher! It combined so many skills we instruct as physical education teachers. As an educator you get to witness a boost in self-confidence, as for most of my students this is a first time experience.
