Back to School Challenge
Let’s do some community-based art! The beginning of the school year is a great time for kids to collaborate and to get to know each other. That’s why our Back to School challenge is to create a community art piece. It can be anything: a poster, a sculpture, or a custom skateboard deck, as long as it has something to do with skateboarding.
Last year’s winner was Red Canyon High School in Gypsum, Colorado. They created a mural on a ramp at the skatepark they helped make happen, from the initial proposal to their town council through ground-breaking and the grand opening. Now that is a full-circle rad moment that will live for years to come!
Plan out the piece and organize the materials.
Help students get creative. We are not putting a size limit on this, so go nuts! (If you want to use a blank skateboard deck, we have them available for purchase in our webstore.)
Once they are finished, take an image or video of the community art piece and submit it using the button below.
We don’t know what this year’s prize is going to be, but it will be better than last year’s and extra rad.
